  • Regular registration includes upload of up to 3 accepted papers.
  • Student/Retiree/IEEE Life Member registrations include upload of one accepted paper.
  • Student registrants will be required to provide evidence of full-time student status. See below for more details.
     

All conference attendees must register. All registration categories include access to technical sessions, proceedings download, coffee breaks (December 16-19), opening and closing receptions. Lunches are not included.

A number of pre-conference workshops will be offered at CDC 2024. Access to the workshops is not included in the conference registration. Please note that it is not possible to only register to workshops: workshop participants must also register to the conference.

Please review the registration and refund policy carefully, as refund penalties may apply. Please note that the ONLY means of payment is by Credit Card (VISA, Master Card and American Express).

Additional Fees

  • Extra paper upload: € 210
  • Excess page charges: € 120 per page. If your manuscript exceeds the nominal page count of 6 pages for regular or invited papers, you must first complete the final submission information on the paper submission page, and then access the registration system to find the updated amount; the excess page count will appear automatically in the SELECT PAPERS page. A maximum of two pages is allowed beyond the six-page limit.
  • Banquet for guests and students can be purchased at € 120.
  • Banquet + Welcome & Farewell Receptions can be purchased at € 210.
  • Welcome & Farewell Receptions can be purchased at € 100.
  • Proceedings on USB flash drive: € 20.
  • Printed program book: € 2.

The banquet is sold out; the registration fees have been updated accordingly. 

Banquet is not included in the Students, Life member, Retiree fees.

All conference attendees must check in upon their arrival in order to access the venue and sessions. Personal badges will be provided; please wear it all the time when you are in the Conference premises.

Preferred Pronouns: If you wish to have your preferred pronouns displayed on your name tag, please enter these following your name as you wish it to be displayed on your badge during the registration process on PaperPlaza. For example, if your name is Finley Smith, you could enter “Finley Smith (she/her).”

The deadline for early registration to the workshops is October 1, 2024. In October, after the early registration deadline, proposers and registrants will be notified whether a minimum number of registrations has been achieved for their specific workshop. Registrants of canceled workshops will be given the possibility to register to another workshop at no additional cost, or to be refunded the original workshop registration fee. 

On Site

The Registration Desk is in a dedicated area at the entrance of the MiCo Conference venue, near the conference rooms.

All conference attendees must register. Personal badges are provided to identify registered participants. Packet pick-up for advanced registrants and on-site registration are available at the Registration Desk.

Payments must be made in Euro.

The only accepted means of payment is by CREDIT CARD (VISA, Master Card and American Express).

Terms and Conditions

Refund Policy

If an author has uploaded a paper using the registration, the registration will not be refunded, even if the paper is withdrawn. Those who pre-register without uploading any paper and later find they cannot attend the conference may request a refund of the advance registration fee(s).

For requests received

  • on or before October 1, 90% of the fee will be refunded.
  • between October 2 and November 30, 50% of the fee will be refunded.
  • after December 1, no refund.

Refunds will be made after the conference.

Additional Information

Billing Data

Invoices will be issued based on the billing data that registrants will provide.
Invoices can be issued either to the registrant or to their university/company. In either case, registrants should make sure to enter all details (including VAT for EU countries).

As soon as the registration process is finalized, an automatically generated pro-forma invoice will be available for download.
As for the legal invoice, it will be instead issued and sent by email by the Organizing Secretariat

Limitations of Liability of the IEEE Control Systems Society

In the event of it being impossible for the CSS to carry out the IEEE CDC 2024 for force majeure cases, so long as this arises from a cause not attributable to the CSS, CSS shall only be obliged to reimburse the payments received subject to deduction of any costs it has incurred in preparing the event. This liability only extends to the payments made directly to the IEEE CDC 2024 and not to payments made by the attendees to the hotel or airlines.

Force Majeure: Unexpected Cancellation of the Conference

The Control Systems Society reserves itself the right to cancel without notice or compensation IEEE CDC 2024 in the event of force majeure cases (for example, but not limited to acts of nature such as fire, earthquake, hurricane, flood or terrorist attacks). In such cases, the CSS is freed of all responsibility.
